a) To bridge the current wide gap between the marketplace and the institutions of learning by raising more academics in business while bringing international trade and commerce training/experience into the academic institutions.
b) To train and recruit startups, students, lecturers, staff and general public into various international business developments such as EXPORT/IMPORT, INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY, AGRO-PROCESSING, MINING, E-COMMERCE, ICT etc.
c) To embark on Publication of “SCCI Citations of Excellence” primarily for use as a motivational book for scholars and startups in various fields of human endeavor.
d) To Promote the business activities, products and services of our stakeholders (Companies, Organizations, Govt. agencies etc.) as well as helping to develop our host institutions.
e) To Facilitate International Trade Exhibitions, Conferences, B2Bnetwork programmes and a host of other corporate programs/services.
f) To establish International Business Development Hubs all over the nation to boost international trade, commerce and industry among scholars, in order to generate minimum of 15,000 jobs via our projected 150,000 trained startups yearly.
g) To promote the development of MSME’s in all economic spheres including Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture particularly within the institutions of learning throughout Nigeria.
h) To establish Centres of excellence for capacity development, trade promotion, policy advocacy, disputes resolution, investment promotion directly or in partnership with the Organised Private Sector, government or other corporate bodies and to collect and disseminate data and other information for the purpose of enhancing the development of commercial and industrial activities in Nigeria.
i) To promote and support public policies, legislations and executive measures for enhancing the growth of commercial, industrial, and other economic activities in Nigeria.
d) To support any legal entity, Body or Group having objects similar to objects of the Chamber and or engaged in business development, economic activities and to encourage and support any society, Chamber or group for the promotion of enterprise, Commerce, Trade, and other Economic activities.
e) To purchase, take on lease or exchange, hire or otherwise acquire any real or personal property, and any rights or privileges, which the Chamber may think necessary or convenient, for the realization of the objects and purposes of the Chamber.
f) To improve, manage, sell, lease, mortgage, dispose of assets or otherwise deal with any part of its property in promotion of the interests and objects of the Chamber.
g) To invest, deposit and deal with the monies of the Chamber not immediately required in such manner as may from time to time be determined by the Council and to set up special purpose vehicles for such investment.
h) To print and publish or collaborate in printing or publishing media, Journals, periodicals, books or leaflets whether online or in hard print, that the Chamber may think desirable for the promotion of its activities.
